This two syllable word building station is a fun way for students to practice combining syllables to build words. Students spin two spinner and write the syllables on their answer recording sheet. They then must decide if it creates a real word or a non-sense word.
I have provided a blank spinner set so that you may create your own syllable combinations. I have also included ink saver spinners with only the outline in color and the rest black and white.

Welcome to Teaching with Nancy!
My name is Nancy Alvarez. I was born in Miami, FL where I grew up all my life. In 2005, my family and I moved to McKinney, TX and have never looked back. I have two sons, 19 and 15 and a daughter 10.
I have taught in both private and public schools. I also have experience with homeschooling. My specialty is in early childhood education. I was a classroom teacher for 13 years. I have taught prekindergarten and second grade. I am currently starting my third year as an instructional coach on an early childhood campus, where I have the opportunity to help teachers grow and become even more amazing teachers. I absolutely love teaching and could never do anything else.
My goal when creating my products is to create materials that are timely, cost effective and easy for teachers put together. If I can help teachers save time and money by providing them with quality, engaging materials, I have succeeded. You will notice that most of my materials are centers or stations. I know how important it is to have engaging learning stations where students can practice academic skills and work independently while the teacher works with small groups. What you won't see in my store are many worksheets. I am not a fan of worksheets. I do however try to provide answer recording sheets, practice or extension pages with my center activities because I understand that teachers need to hold students accountable.
